Security Awareness Web Series by NCA

The National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA), in partnership with Adobe and Speechless Inc., has produced an engaging 8-episode Security Awareness web series aimed at educating viewers about essential cybersecurity practices. Each episode focuses on a specific aspect of digital security and is presented in a humorous and accessible format to convey important information effectively.

The series covers various critical topics, including password security, data handling, computer theft prevention, phishing and ransomware awareness, safe handling of removable media, protection against vishing (voice phishing) attacks, secure internet downloads, and WiFi safety. These episodes are designed to be both informative and entertaining, making complex security concepts easier for viewers to understand and remember.

This web series serves as a valuable resource for organizations and individuals looking to improve their cybersecurity knowledge and practices. Kubikle by NCA

Kubikle is an innovative comedy web series launched by the National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA) in October 2023 to advance cybersecurity awareness and preparedness. The series uses insightful storytelling and humor to make cybersecurity more relatable and less intimidating for individuals, businesses, and organizations.

The 12-episode series follows a diverse cast of cybercriminals navigating a "typical day in the office," pulling back the curtain on cybercrime. Each episode explores a specific cybersecurity topic, including ransomware, romance and cryptocurrency scams, phishing, vishing, multi-factor authentication, and password security. By condensing cybercrime to a human level, Kubikle demystifies cybersecurity and empowers viewers with knowledge to protect themselves online.

Kubikle was created in response to the NCA's findings that over half of people in the US are apprehensive about becoming victims of cybercrime, with many feeling frustrated or intimidated by the process of staying secure online. By capturing younger audiences' attention through comedy, Kubikle aims to make cybersecurity education more engaging and effective.

Secure Our World by CISA

Secure Our World is CISA's enduring cybersecurity awareness program. It aims to educate individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, and organizations on actionable steps to enhance online safety and security. The initiative focuses on four key actions: recognizing and reporting phishing, using strong passwords, enabling multifactor authentication, and updating software.

Launched in 2023, Secure Our World is the ongoing theme for Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which has been observed every October since 2004. The program provides a wide range of free resources, including tip sheets, animated videos, social media content, virtual backgrounds, infographics, presentations, and posters, to help organizations build their own cybersecurity awareness campaigns.

CISA collaborates with various partners, including federal and state governments and industry and non-profit organizations, to promote safe online behavior and practices. The Secure Our World initiative emphasizes that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, encouraging everyone to take simple steps to create a more secure online experience for all.
